Internet Project: website, banners and bookmarks.

Visions of Korea© is a website project for the exhibition "Maskinkraft" at Roskilde Museum.
My interest in Korea and the rapid westernization and development of the region made me
wonder about the development of the social collective state of mind and the dichotomy of the
spiritual tradition of Korea and the contemporary almost inhumane focus on education, success
and money.
I researched the visual strategies of major brands and corporations, and made a fake commercial
identity for Visions of Korea©. Then I contacted companies and organisations that have a great
impact on Korea on social and economical levels, and I got answers back from 7 persons.
I interviewed and chose 6 business people and social workers, whom I asked to tell me about their
dreams. My focus was on the collective subconscious and the other kind of communication it
offers, as well as the difference there might be between the dreams of the people from
business
and social work. The last thing actually wasn´t the case.
You may say, that the subconscious, which is most commonly accessible by dreams, affects
our feelings, thoughts and actions and therefore, eventually, a culture and a collective develop-
ment.

During the exhibition, I sent out the link to people by email so they could follow as I uploaded
two new video-interviews on the website every week. Because of the fact that the work existed
on the internet, the audience was international, and therefore the feedback was very varied and
interesting. The last week, I gave the audience the opportunity to participate in the work and send
in a dream themselves.
