"Unitopia"

Installation View, Aeroe Fine Arts School, Denmark

4 screen installation (1 projection, 3 monitors, syncronized sound)

A mystic ritual takes place on a beach from sunrise to sunset. The stones can fly and hallucinating mirror images of the main character appears.
On two of the monitors, the character stares at us from a birds perspective in the dim light of dusk, while in the other besides, a sun-salutation ritual
is being performed. In the third monitor, the character has multiplied in two, and performs a sort of mirror dance. On the projection, a narratives takes
place, but frequently all the screens are syncronised in running sequences, filling the room with heavy noises of breath and stones falling down..

With references to Maya Deren, you find a filmed landscape you cannot trust with your senses anymore. The sound of stones, sand, water and breath
becomes language. When actual words are spoken, when the character meets herself in the middle of the loop, it seems like an extensions of the land-
scape and the sorroundings, the film image streching and compressing time and place.
